| TERMS AND CONDITIONS
AND RENTAL GUIDELINES May 2002 until further notice Throughout this document, the word "you" refers to your company and any employee/driver thereof. The name Privilege relates to the long-term hire department of Enterprise Rent A Car Southampton/Oxford Ltd (ERAC). Privilege and ERAC should be referred to as the same company. Throughout this document words in the singular will include the plural and vice versa unless specified otherwise. This agreement is between your company and Enterprise Rent A Car/Privilege. PAYMENT, DEPOSITS AND CHARGES Before a vehicle can be supplied we require £250.00 per vehicle deposit, £25 delivery fee and payment for the rental until the end of the month. Company cheque or credit card is excepted. All rentals are payable in advance on a calendar month basis. Each vehicle comes with either 83 or 27 miles free per day (30,000 or 10,000 miles on an annualised basis) with excess mileage chargeable after every vehicle exchange and vehicle off-hire. Over miles will be calculated by multiplying the days of hire (from first day of hire to date of exchange or off-hire) by the relevant mileage allowance. Additional miles will be charged on the appropriate rental invoice. Any miles under the allowance cannot be carried forward or passed onto another vehicle. Over mileage charges are 15p/mile for Astra and 18p/mile for Vectra. All other class of vehicles will be confirmed upon receiving your reservation. The deposit will be refunded in full by Enterprise Rent A Car pending final inspection of the vehicle. Final inspection will include interior and exterior check to BVRLA guidelines and mileage report. Refund will be in the form of a company cheque within 14 days of off-hire or 14 days after completion of repair. It is your responsibility to keep insurance valid and up to date at all times. This includes updating your insurance policy if an exchange or additional vehicle is supplied. If a vehicle is found to be uninsured (commencing from delivery to collection) it is your sole responsibility to pay for costs incurred including repair of the vehicle, answering to the prosecuting Police Force and any third party claim. Your company accepts responsibility for the vehicle once it has been delivered and until a Privilege representative has collected the vehicle. This includes damage, speeding, motoring and traffic offences. Any damage, parking or other fines pertaining to the vehicle whilst in your care will be notified to you and Avail. Charges will be taken by direct debit by the 5th of the following month. It is your responsibility to keep engine fluids to a reasonable level at all times. It is your responsibility to repair punctures and windscreen/glass damage and to keep the vehicle in good condition at all times. Privilege cannot accept responsibility for any damage or additional costs incurred by careless or wreck less driving or general misuse of the vehicle. The vehicle will not leave the country without written consent by a Privilege
representative. Proof of green card cover must be supplied for duration
of the rental outside of England, Scotland or Wales. An administration
fee of £40 will apply. All damaged vehicles will remain on rent until all damage is repaired. Whenever possible mobile repairers will be used to reduce the time of "loss of use" and keep repair costs to a minimum. The appropriate daily hire rate will apply until repairs are complete and the vehicle is available for resale or rehire. We reserve the right to re-inspect the vehicle within 48 hours of collection. No roof racks, tow bars or other alterations are to be made to the vehicle without written consent from andrew.walker@erac.com Full national breakdown is provided including 24hr cover and replacement vehicle. Appropriate breakdown assistance numbers will be given to the end user at the time of vehicle delivery. If the correct procedure is followed, the courtesy car will be provided free to the end-user. It is strongly recommended in the event the vehicle cannot be repaired on the roadside, state to the mechanic you need a courtesy car. You should then be taken to a dealership or an approved rental company whom will supply a car in a timely manner. To off-hire the vehicle (after the 3-month minimum) we require 3 clear working days written confirmation or e-mail notice. Privilege reserves the right to exchange the vehicle at any time. The vehicle exchange will be at the convenience of your end-user and Privilege within 14 days of our request. Please notify Privilege as soon as the vehicle reads 9000 miles on the odometer. All vehicles are fully maintained, as a new vehicle will be supplied every 3 to 5 months regardless of rental period. Enterprise Rent-A-Car reserve the right to off-hire vehicles at any time if thought appropriate. Vehicles can only be reserved for a particular working day and not a
particular time. If you need a vehicle for an early time it is recommended
you reserve the car for the day before.
Privilege reserves the right to amend any term. 28-days written notice
will apply.
